Swami Weekly Wrap: September 8th, 2026 [Equity signals weaken, remain bullish]
Hi Swami Subs,
Hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend, and welcome back to what could be another wild week in the markets.
The signal board has weakened overall, but it has not broken. Equities remain constructive, crypto is still consolidating in a bullish posture, and oil has now broken bullish. That said, there are no immediate new buy signals here, and several areas still need confirmation before the setup gets cleaner.
Gold remains the most important commodity to watch. It is still battling trend, and we are waiting for gold’s add level to move above trend before the setup becomes more actionable. The dollar remains weak, bonds remain firmly bearish, and the broader message this week is patience: bullish in places, but not an all-clear.
On the Swami All-Equity side, performance was essentially flat last week, with SAE declining -0.2% versus SPY +0.1%. Year-to-date outperformance remains significant, with SAE up +20.3% YTD versus SPY +13.5% YTD.
